CorrLinks Customer Insights

1. I've been using this app for over 8yrs now & the problems I've found are, if your screen times out or your phone dies before you get to save a message or send it, it's gone! The notification for new messages seldom pops up so you have to keep checking & syncing the app.

2. For the most part, this app is a godsend for those seeking to stay in constant contact with an incarcerated loved one.UPDATE: I was contacted and the problem has been solved! I am able to open the app, log in, and sync! Thank you! I have been having issues with logging in.

3. When I started using the app it was fine but now I have to actually open it and sync messages, which can make a delayed message have a later response.

4. Paying for the premium account is a waste if you can't even use the one feature you need!It's great to be able to email loved ones who are locked up, however it should be noted that there's a delay in receipt.

5. Extremely frustrating! The last thing is the window when replying to a message seems to have shrunk making it hard to read what I've written so far and lots of back/forth scrolling.The app is good, but it doesn't sync properly.

6. It doesn't notify me of an email until I open the app even though the notification settings are set for it to send push notifications and automatically sync.

7. I brought this to their attention a few months ago but once their beta version was released, the problem returned.It's a wonderful app, but unfortunately something about the system delays messages (from both parties).

8. Very annoying to have to go to the website when I have purchased the premier account months ago and was working fine up until a few weeks ago.

9. I have to randomly open the app to check for incoming messages since the notifications don't work.

10. I have to access my account from another phone or laptop to retrieve messages.

11. I have not been able to sync for 2 weeks.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix CorrLinks Issues

1. Fix CorrLinks Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart CorrLinks: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the CorrLinks App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "CorrLinks" » Open CorrLinks » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for CorrLinks » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear CorrLinks app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from CorrLinks servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "CorrLinks" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check CorrLinks app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, CorrLinks might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall CorrLinks. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall CorrLinks then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing CorrLinks not working


2. Fix CorrLinks Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make CorrLinks be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to CorrLinks not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, CorrLinks may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.

  • I've been sending emails back and forth with my incarcerated loved one for 3 months. The emails either arrive within a few hours or don't arrive at all, or arrive 3 days later and even 6 days later! We need contact because I have cancer and am currently receiving treatment, which is stressful enough, without having added stress and pressure put on us by corrlinks diabolical service! We're both paying for emails every day but not getting what we've already paid for! We have both argued about "why didn't you reply to my emails?" "Because I didn't get any emails from you" and this happens EVERY DAY! "Just sending this email AGAIN incase you didn't get the one I ALREADY sent!" Of course, then charged more money to try and communicate with each other, but communication gets lost, because corrlinks decide to mix times and dates of our emails up! More arguments between my loved one and myself and stressing us even more!! Our mental health is severley affected wondering "what if my important emails don't arrive at his/my emd?" To the point where I've been having suicidal thoughts, because I think he hasn't replied, when he says he replies to EVERY email. We both reply WHEN corrlinks decide to deliver...24 hours later...2 days later...4 days later...6!!! DAYS LATER!! SERIOUSLY!! I WANT, right now 2:12pm (GMT SCOTLAND) 9:12am (MASACHUSETTS USA) A copy of ALL our emails AND TIMES AND DATES AND YOU CAN BE SURE WE ARE TAKING THIS FURTHER. MUCH FURTHER!

  • I have an account set up through corrlinks so me and my son can email each other back and forth I just tried to login my email account through corrlinks an now my account is saying that I’m blocked again I don’t understand why I didn’t say or do anything wrong the CloudFlare Ray ID is 724f31ef79c5e46a 07-01-2022 was the first time I was able to send my son an email in over a month, because for some odd reason I was block last month in June, I would really appreciate it if someone from the corrlinks team can unblock me so I can I further email communication with my son… Thank you
