1. Not only does it let you test by writing (its forgiving enough that wonky finger phone writing is recognized) but it'll even let you know if your stroke order or direction is wrong! The ads, at least in my experience, are unobtrusive banner ads, no loud, in-your-face pop-ups that I've had to tap or swipe away in the middle of studying, which is a welcome change of pace from many other free JP learning apps I've tried!Great app -- love the handwriting practice.
2. If i were to suggest one small detail to improve the app, I'd love to have an option to hear vocabulary read aloud, both in vocab practice and also in the list of words that contain the kanji you're looking at.
3. Also having an option to hear readings read out while practicing kanji could be coolReally great app with one really annoying issue - when I'm on a vocabulary list and turn off my screen, it returns to the top of the list when I wake my phone back up.
4. Every other app on the planet seems to be able to remember scroll positions so why can't this one?Great app, but I wish there was a way to manually edit the weight (color) of any Kanji I want in order to more easily create the exercises I need.
5. 🤗I've been learning Japanese on my own and this app has been extremely helpful at giving just enough information at a time to not be overwhelming; especially in regards to kanji, vocabulary, and grammar.
6. The only thing I'd like to see added would be to have the pitch accent number/type accompanying the words/vocab so we can learn the correct intonation when learning new vocab.A really useful tool for learning Japanese.
7. A suggestion: it'd be useful to have the same kind of study and practice for other counter word types, like days of the month and such. This app is the best I've found for supplemental kanji practice.
8. I could import a new list for each chapter, but I'd have to modify an export myself and know all the things in each chapter. This app is absolutely great for studying kanji.
9. Thank you.Great app for studying/revising/testing your kanji, kana and vocab.
10. One feature that I'd love is a speed reading practice -- perhaps have it flash words 1 kana at a time at a set pace, and then have you type it.
11. Just the basic things it offers are invaluable: With its help I was able to learn hiragana, katakana and basic numbers in just over a couple of weeks.
