Aficionado Customer Insights

1. There is a Premium version but the Free version does everything I need an I smoke 6-7 cigars a week.Although I didn't use it when it worked, it's clear something has broken in the app... Cigar database has brands but no cigars, random crashes requiring restarting app.

2. The only problem is that you must pay 7 dollars to access to the premium content such as tasting wheel, creating humidor, scoring personal cigars etc and its a bit expensive for that.So the app may look very outdated.

3. Now, the cigar database never returns any results and the Premium personal database backup does nothing as well.

4. Very plentiful cigars variety (brand, shape, name etc) and you can send an email to add a cigar that you don't find in the list.

5. I can't even buy the premium version!The rating chart looks interesting and a lot better than Cigar Scanner's, has more depth.

6. App is now totally unusable, shame we can't roll back to previous versions.Very good cigar aficionado app for classified cigars and take note on them.

7. The developer must have been thinking "how can I increase the stress level of a user"great tool to learn by.

8. So much that I ended up buying the premium and I don't regret it! Having every virtual humidor in my phone is amazing!I use this app regularly.

9. Latest update has basically slowed the app into a tortoise when it syncs after adding/removing cigars.

10. Allows me to keep track of the inventory in my humidor and keep tasting notes.

11. Prior to this update, which as far as I can see added nothing useful, was the perfect cigar library app.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix Aficionado Issues

1. Fix Aficionado Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart Aficionado: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the Aficionado App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "Aficionado" » Open Aficionado » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for Aficionado » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear Aficionado app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from Aficionado servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "Aficionado" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check Aficionado app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Aficionado might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall Aficionado. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall Aficionado then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing Aficionado not working


2. Fix Aficionado Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make Aficionado be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to Aficionado not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, Aficionado may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
