1. For example, I'm currently in Grande Prairie because of fire evacuations, but when I scroll the map down to Edson and Hinton, it shows nothing wrong.... Not so much that I don't want to add a couple places to the list, but in my line of work, I would have to add the entire province....The Alberta Emergency alert system is better at alerting me when I'm in BC than BC itself is alerting their own citizens.... Thanks, Alberta, for actually being useful! This app has been very useful for me cause I get alerts for areas that are sometimes 2 hours or more away, as well as areas close to me in BC, which I find useful as a way to stay informed and allows me to make educated decisions on where I can and cannot go.
2. Living in Dawson Creek, I have even gotten alerts for Fox Creek. So far it's been exceptional except for the startling alarms that go off for critical alerts that go off late at night, but this is also very useful because it's pretty hard to miss the alerts even if your a heavy sleeper. The maps reflected in the alerts are seldomly accurate.
3. I have to consistently clarify via other agencies and avenues. It's annoying having the same alerts come through so much.. should just be when there's an actual update, not the same alert... as I know lots of people are blocking and removing app.
4. Or even better: highlight text and map outlines showing what has been changed since the last update, preferably with time and date.Would be far better if you could check areas you are not currently around without adding to list.
5. Improvements I'd like to see are short text notifications on the lockscreen i.e. "evac area expanded" as I'm not always near the phone when it alerts.
6. Your advice doesn't work.. opening the alerts I get message above and goes no further. It is hard to know where RR# and TWP # are when looking at the maps that are used.
7. Also, a very clear note showing "NO CHANGES" on the evac alerts and notices that are simply repeats.
8. Thank you Goverment of the Province of Alberta! Its very Nice!I live IN Alberta but near the SK border lloydminster area.
9. It's getting to monotinaceIts great but i just know am receiving alerts late.
10. Downloaded for the 2023 wildfires and have appreciated the alerts so far.
11. also it lets people know what is going on in and around all of through Alberta.
