1. The reason for the 2 stars is the one sided reporting, pushing a bias that most Canadians disagree with and their unwillingness to report on the current government I was a long time CBC follower and While I still read the articles, its more habit than for any worthy news content.This app blows your phone up with quite irrelevant or unnecessary stories listed as "Breaking News." 85% dont belong in this category, and washes out the quality of actual important news delivery.

2. I really just wanted alerts for critical breaking news in real time, such as earthquakes, terrorist events etc.

3. Unfortunately "breaking news" seems to include a lot of irrelevant stuff.Video Ads... 30 seconds long... I am not watching those.

4. I use several news apps and this is the only one with this problem.The editor often places stories as national/international that are local in nature.

5. I have read CBC News stories for many years and have appreciated it for staying up to date.

6. Often, there is a considerable delay before breaking news receives any coverage.EXTREMELY USER-UNFRIENDLY today when asking me to review.

8. Also find you get a very small selection of news stories that go on repeat.

9. Breaking News should be for important and serious events.

10. I avoid "the news" in general & in principle disagree with the up to the minute concept.

4. Check CBC News app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, CBC News might not work.
5. Uninstall and reinstall CBC News. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall CBC News then reinstall.
6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing CBC News not working

2. Fix CBC News Server issues & Internet Connection

1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make CBC News be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to CBC News not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
