1. This is the premium version of the app. • Quick access to medical information from your lock screen. • Emergency alert feature to send SMS in one click (with your estimated location). • Location sharing with emergency contacts even when the app is closed (for up to 24 hours or until you stop sharing). • Direct emergency contacts call from the lock screen without having to unlock. • Current location (address, GPS coordinates).
2. In case of emergency, the app enables quick access to vital information such as your allergies, blood type, medical contacts, etc. that are essential to attending first responders, medics, or medical staff having to take action.
3. The display and access of your medical information from your lock screen are made possible via an accessibility service to enable and that is part of the core features of the app.
4. This widget helps people who have disabilities, or first responders in case of emergency, to take action and access medical data.
5. In emergency situations, a Medical ID could prove to be invaluable to attending medics or other medical personnel providing treatment.
6. Medical ID allows creating medical profiles that are accessible from the lock screen of your device.
7. Note that your medical information remains on your device.
8. Once enabled, the accessibility service displays a widget over your lock screen.
9. Indeed, the app may not work properly on some devices running a customized Android version or making use of apps that "clean up" or kill other apps.
10. Do not wait, turn your Android device into a life-saving tool.
11. Requested permissions are used for the described features only, not to collect data against your will.
1. For someone like me whose meds change a lot due to a complex medical history, it is sometimes hard to make the changes on the phone...While it's layout is exactly what I am looking for, I purchased the premium version to have the ability to send alerts to my emergency contacts.
2. I would have it where the sound that is heard on the receiving phone when an alert is cent could be changeable where the alert could be distinguished from othersIt's a great app & necessary app to have & I recommend it to all my friends! However one improvement I would like to see in the future is an option to upload & store images (such as of driver's licenses & health insurance cards) & important documents (such as advanced directives).
3. Problem is, when i got another phone running Android Oreo the task killer was killing the app so frequently that it would only work properly for a few hours, and then i would have to set everything up again.
4. The HELP page is terrifically easy and thorough and PHONE BASED, so you can quickly and easily fix any things in your phone's software that might try to himder the app.
5. Easy use for rescue personal or the average stranger who may be near you in an emergency and see your phone.
6. With the paid version there are No ads and can if synced with contacts, list your emergency contacts at the bottom under medical notes.
7. Please find an override option for this app to work any time the phone is powered on.
8. But the phone does occasionally shutdown and restart after other auto-updates and I don't know until I pull out my phone and realize it has shut down.
9. Unfortunately, my phone updated an app and when it restarted, I still had to use the fingerprint or code to get into the phone before anything would show on the screen.
10. I got to use it in real life recently : when the ambulance crew started asking questions, I just handed them the phone.
11. Whenever I'm on the phone the widget turns off completely and does not come back on when I get off the phone.
