1. Anyone has a recommendation to correct.The app used to work well, in the last two months anytime I try to connect remotely to the thermostat I get the error "Cannot connect to thermostat".

2. Likes it for the first year of being able to change the temp remotely, but now it is like a normal thermostat with no remote control accessThankful for success.

5. Update 4/23/19 - manual fan control is still flaky with my T4x series stats...I can not rely on the fan status symbol animation, if I am unsure if the fan is running manually or not, I turn the system to off to ensure the fan is off.

9. However, when power flickers for a half second, the connection between the app and the thermostat is lost and nothing works to connect them until the thermostat and app decides to connect.

10. The app properly updated and everything works fine now.Our thermostat will not connect or stay connected to the internet.

11. I try to adjust and send instructions and the error returns, but after about 30 seconds the thermostat adjusts and lowers / raises as requested.

1. Fix Venstar Skyport Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:

1. Restart Venstar Skyport: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
2. Update the Venstar Skyport App. Here is how:
   1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "Venstar Skyport" » Open Venstar Skyport » click "Update".
   2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for Venstar Skyport » click "UPDATE".
3. Clear Venstar Skyport app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from Venstar Skyport servers.
   1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "Venstar Skyport" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
4. Check Venstar Skyport app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Venstar Skyport might not work.
5. Uninstall and reinstall Venstar Skyport. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall Venstar Skyport then reinstall.
6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing Venstar Skyport not working

2. Fix Venstar Skyport Server issues & Internet Connection

1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make Venstar Skyport be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to Venstar Skyport not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, Venstar Skyport may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
