1. Stop promoting your app in the libraries if you're unable to support people using it.Sounded a loud alert when scanning qr to login even though all volume is turned off.

2. Its very leggy and when I press on one book in the new ebooks section to find out the details, I get shown another book (same book appears when I click alot of other titles).

3. Prior to the update, the app kept loading and then saying that there was no Internet connection and then it would go back to the loading page and back to the connection message and over and over again.

4. When there's an error focusing on barcodes, it makes loud beeping sounds even when the phone media and system sounds are set to mute.

5. NLB and reading books is one of the best things before this happened, utterly disappointed at this mess.Super convenient for borrowing books.

6. I dont get the free access to publicationsBarcode scans frequently fail and app error says Hold On; got to force close app and reopen.

7. if users can't even open the app, there is honestly no point in downloading it right 😅Having a lot of issues accessing press readers these days.

8. Excuse me! Make such unnecessary noise in the library, for what? Cannot make it lah... such a lousy app for our National Library, buay paiseh meh? Where is your pride?Hi.

9. Please do something about it.the NLB app provides much convenience when borrowing and searching for books, however the app itself is very laggy.

10. It goes to the loading page with the man sitting on the train and then it flickers and the app disappears.

11. Was probably the best and most functional app until the recent updates where the error, "Record(s) not found" keeps popping up.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix NLB Issues

1. Fix NLB Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart NLB: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the NLB App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "NLB" » Open NLB Mobile • » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for NLB » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear NLB Mobile • app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from NLB servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "NLB Mobile •" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check NLB app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, NLB might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall NLB. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall NLB then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing NLB not working


2. Fix NLB Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make NLB be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to NLB not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, NLB may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
