LibreLinkUp Customer Insights

1. My only big complaint or critique is the alarm sound, my girlfriend can't stand the sound of it and if it's signaling high blood sugar levels her adverse reaction (the high pitched beeping sound understandably stresses her out) leads to even higher levels so please please please give users the option to customize alarm sounds!The app itself is not bad, actually it is faster than the actual Libre app.

2. It does NOT show you the graph, and most importantly, it doesn't show you notes like food and insulin so I cannot tell when insulin was given! This is pretty necessary information! The next problem is the sharing model is confusing and stupid.

3. We.also found that having the Libre 2 and Libre3 app on primary user phone has helped keep the app connected to the sensor.

4. I just want to be able to monitor someone else's data, but I can't do that unless I create a LibreView account that assumes I have diabetes and makes me answer a bunch of questions as if I'm the one being monitored.

5. Also, there should be a way to get an audio alert for an urgent low while the phone is on silent (particularly useful while sleeping at night).Super helpful app, there is a discrepancy between my significant other's CGM-monitoring app and what I'm able to see which is curious.

6. (The main Libre 3 app DOES NOT do this.) It could be made a little better by also synching notes and logs from the primary user.This app is disappointing.

7. The app works most of the time for connected phones and as long as the primary user's phone stays connected to wifi, we find the app useful.

8. When you open the app there is no current data! Not good for caregivers!!! I've restarted the app & then restarted the phone.

9. Calling support won't fix the issue as they are missing features not implemented (just a division by 18, not so hard imho).UPDATE: Data retrieval is better now.

10. The graph never shows proper readings either, you always have to look at the log book instead.Update 2: I already submitted the support ticket.

11. You would think that if the LibreLinkUp is set to an account that is producing scan data, that it would automatically share.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix LibreLinkUp Issues

1. Fix LibreLinkUp Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart LibreLinkUp: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the LibreLinkUp App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "LibreLinkUp" » Open LibreLinkUp » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for LibreLinkUp » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear LibreLinkUp app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from LibreLinkUp servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "LibreLinkUp" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check LibreLinkUp app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, LibreLinkUp might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall LibreLinkUp. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall LibreLinkUp then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing LibreLinkUp not working


2. Fix LibreLinkUp Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make LibreLinkUp be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to LibreLinkUp not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, LibreLinkUp may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
