1. The application is somewhat picky about the listening conditions, so if it doesn't work, try adjusting the volume or repositioning the phone in relation to the speaker.
2. Listens to Morse code through your phone's mic and translates it to text.
3. If you can't get it to work, send me an email with a link to a recording of the transmission and I will see if I can improve the application.
1. Thankyou for the great program as my code skills have gotten poor.I'm an amateur radio operator and I was under the impression that you could translate CW code into text.
2. If Jeff thinks this app doesn't work quickly, wait until he finds out how hard REAL CW Code is.
3. I wish you could set the noise level manually but the auto level does a great job of following the noise versus signal levels.
4. But the level drops to noise level and shows text when there isnt any CW being received thus giving false characters.
5. Would be good to be able to apply a band filter at a frequency and also filter on amplitude so noise on a channel doesn't effect it as much.
6. BTW - I use this app on a Samsung Galaxy Tab S with Android 6.0.1, and a Samsung Galaxy J3 (smart phone) running Android 8.0.0.Very nice decoder and the graph makes copying weak signals easy.
7. We had a spirit coming through one of our spirit boxes, talking in morse code, and thanks to this app, we were able to get some pretty intelligent responses.
8. If you have a PC try CW Decoder.Just like Jacek says, this app is picky about the Morse Code source volume, mic placement, and really even speed.
9. Granted the background noise was an issue, we still were able to pick up what they were trying to say.Works well on a clean signal.
10. Don't give up so easy and run and post that it doesn't work like Jeff did.
11. Plus don't complain it's free.If it had a way to set the level it would work great.
