1. The app provides two basic hearing test: pure-tone audiometry and the speech intelligibility test (the digits-in-noise).
2. The test consists in determining the quietest sound that you are able to hear, thus determining your hearing threshold.
3. Pure-tone audiometry determines the degree of hearing loss in relation to the sound frequency.
4. The digits-in-noise test evaluates speech intelligibility and consists of recognition of the digits in the noise. * calibration of the device (in the case of lack of predefined calibration or for headphones other than bundled). * synchronization (your tests results can be stored in a cloud; data are easy to recover, can be transferred between devices and accessed on different devices).
1. It says it has the calibration for your device and the "bundled headphones" that came with it in a database, but what phone comes with headphones anymore?? You should be able to input the calibration data manually based on headphone specsEven though I haven't tried the app yet, with the headset on, even through my phone speaker it is obvious to me this is a well-thought-out and professionally-made app to test your hearing.
2. This will give the APP the ability to test randomly each ear and to test someone else by instruct the person under test to indicate which ear hear a sound.I think it probably works well, but have some doubts about the ability of my S9+ and headphones to actually deliver the sounds to my ears (I suppose all people with hearing loss would think that!).
3. I get recurrent hearing test, that's why I would recommend the developer to add an "ear selection" button; a "Sound" ON OFF button; Frequency selector button & volume control.
4. Actually, far more accurate than a free preliminary test I did at an audiologist a while ago which told me I have perfect hearing (I definitely do not!) Thank you!Absolutely the best hearing app.
5. The doctor's chart results weren''t that much different from the results I got from this app and it allowed me to monitor changes in my hearing while I wss on prednisone for sudden hearing loss.
6. No doubt about that, and a comparison to my actual hearing test from my audiologist shows a startling accuracy that I was not expecting.
7. It's a small thing that gave me a bit of comfort because I was able to slight changes in my hearing every day for two weeks. This is absolutely incredible that there is such a app that does this so so well.
8. (I looked up the frequencies of average human speech on a medical website)This is a pretty accurate tool you can use at home to keep track of you hearing loss/improvement.
9. My functional hearing was somehow better than 0db with wired, but for my deaf ear I had the *exact* same level of hearing loss at the same frequency for both BT and wired functions so I guess it doesn't matter.
10. The problem is needing to have someone else with good hearing spend 7 minutes calibrating it for you first, but if you don't have anyone to do that for you, you can't rely on the calibration.
11. Have had professional ear testing done and can't believe how good you can do this in the comfort of your own home! Please remember if you do use this App I'm mentioning please get into a very quiet room or place around you as your test results will show.
