Why should I report an Issue with Simple: Weight Loss Coach?

Simple Customer Insights

1. Having to writing out everything I ate and is more time consuming and not different than other food tracking apps.Beware if you sign up for the free trial & have issues trying to cancel before the trial ends (the Manage Subscription button did not work) Good luck getting a response by email, which is your only option since there is no live chat or phone number for customer service.

2. This is extremely frustrating because there is no phone number to call either.Changing in the wrong direction!! Bring back the Simple way of logging food!!! I don't want to spend time writing everything I eat.

3. It doesn't log my eating correctly, because I don't have the ability to log a "snack." It SAYS there's a feature for it, and under their help section, it says there's this big ol' + button to log your food which opens up this expansive menu for logging--I don't have such a button.

4. You've removed all the "simple" features that made me choose this app.I have used many food tracking apps and this one stands out due to the simplicity.

5. Although the old version worked great and helped me lose a LOT of weight, the recent change that requires me to type in the food I eat in order to log a meal makes this app unusable for me.

6. It would take my experience up a notch with that level of customization it says it has, but I cannot get to.I didn't give 5 stars based on the lack of variety of options in the app for food and beverage.

7. I wish the food icons would return, that was the feature I liked the best, it was SIMPLE.

8. I found that I am repairing my relationship with food through this app and not obsessing over carbs, calories, fat..ect. I plan to keep using the app and have not experienced any crashing or tech issues.

9. I understand it is supposed to be simple, but food options are not always simple.

10. If you want to make changes, implement things that are MORE simple (how 'bout a Galaxy watch extension?), don't make it more complicated.

11. I won't do data entry in your app each time I eat.I'm a newer user to Simple, and it is great all except for one thing.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix Simple Issues

1. Fix Simple Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart Simple: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the Simple App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "Simple" » Open Simple: Weight Loss Coach » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for Simple » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear Simple: Weight Loss Coach app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from Simple servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "Simple: Weight Loss Coach" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check Simple app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Simple might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall Simple. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall Simple then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing Simple not working


2. Fix Simple Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make Simple be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to Simple not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, Simple may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.

  • I bought 1 yr subscription about a week ao and have started using app - live it but this AM I could not get into my account- kept getting so add for simple and couldn't get out of it- it is some that says Start your Journey - it seems to want me to sign up but I am already signed up- can you rest my app so I can use can use it- is there a number I can call to talk to someone about this- very frustrating- TX

  • I paid on Friday and checked with my doctor about this. Because of my stomach issues he told me not to do fasting. Trying to get in touch with you is almost impossible. Been trying since I mistakingly paid before checking. Please refund my money and make sure in do not get charged again.

  • I was charged for 2 simple plans. when decideing on whether to try it out, I had considered the trial basis then the 3 month plan. NOticed I was charged to my paypal acct for both plans - didn't intend to get 2 plans. In any case after getting app and trying it, decided I did not like it , couldn't figure out a few things, and decided it was not worth time to fiddle with it. I would like to be refunded charge of $59.40 on Aug.20. The trial charge of 9.73 can remain. Thanks
