1. There is a Record option, but it always starts late, usually 2 seconds in to the clip and the format (.mp4) is not always "readable" by my VLC player or other video player app on my phone.

2. Which is a hard shame, because some of the Vivitar-contacted hardware is so decent in design and function: a 1080p, motion detecting, wireless camera with a built-in storage and two way intercom! What's the catch? Software that is inherently broken with zero devs.This is just about one of the worst apps I've ever tried to use.

3. Now it has completely lost the ability to log in at all, and won't even let me make a new account.My experience so far is that the app worked sort of about 6 months ago but I picked up a second camera and opened the app and it tries to load and then crashes out.

7. When it finally does the switch takes multiple tries to actually turn the outlet on or off.

8. Other manufacturers might give you the option to save clips to a network location or directory on a PC.

9. I'll be returning this smart outlet tomorrow and buy a real one from a company that knows what they're doing.

10. The areas for improvement in my opinion: 1) There needs to be a better way to download or share a video clip.

11. Spend a few extra bucks and get something that works!Cannot seem to erase anything the software deemed necessary to save.

We have stopped using our vivitar security camera and deleted the app but we have been getting charged for several months.
