Still, it didn't have an LG service remote option, which is what I needed to disable that freaking ABSL static image dimming that's making me want to pull what's left of my hair out, but at least it actually worked as a regular remote...Wow this app would be amazing! ..IF it worked like it says it does, which it does not! They claim to offer IR learning from other remotes, & the app says to select "Learn" but does not give you that as an option.

2. But it can be a remote, they just didn't have to lie about it & make up fake functions that don't exist.deny access to my photos and media files, because this app doesn't need permission to my folders, and it glitches and refuses to work.

7. I was, going to see if this app would work on my newer TV, and am stuck with the same error message when I try to create a new remote, like their system/web broke.

8. Sometimes it takes a few tries but once you find the correct code it works good as long as your using a device that ACTUALLY has an IR BLASTER not just an IR receiver like most new phones come with.

   1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "Universal TV Remote" » Open Universal TV Remote » click "Update".
   2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for Universal TV Remote » click "UPDATE".
3. Clear Universal TV Remote app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from Universal TV Remote servers.
   1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "Universal TV Remote" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
4. Check Universal TV Remote app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Universal TV Remote might not work.
5. Uninstall and reinstall Universal TV Remote. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall Universal TV Remote then reinstall.
6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing Universal TV Remote not working

2. Fix Universal TV Remote Server issues & Internet Connection

1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make Universal TV Remote be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to Universal TV Remote not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, Universal TV Remote may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
