1. The scale has also stopped recording auxiliary data and only record weight.Since the update, it no longer syncs I've had this scale for a couple years and the version of the app that it had when I bought it worked perfectly.

2. Not sure how that happened, but thank you.Edit 6/12/23 The most recent update has rendered the app completely useless, it will no longer connect to the scale to even take basic weight.

Not only is all my previous data gone, it says it doesn't even see my device...even though it managed to change the units from lbs to kg on it? 😑 I bought this scale for the fact that it was 'smart', but now it's just a scale.I've finally gotten back into a hardcore diet, and am back to monitoring after 2 years.

4. Connection and sync with scale is spotty, Bluetooth reset sometimes fixes it, sometimes does not.

5. 18.3 is very low, when our goal range is 20-24.9. I am likely just going to use the scale, but I will go with a more consistent product and fitness app.I've had this scale for over 3.5 years and have loved it and the app.

6. But this new update is terrible!! Now some arbitrary point score is showed after I weigh in, instead of actual relevant weight data being front and center.

7. Even after a hard reset! Edit 6/20/23 most recent update has solved the connectivity issue! Hooray! Was able to weigh myself yesterday and the analytical portion of the app worked perfectly.

8. Frustrating because it worked well for about 3 years.Does not auto connect and sync, especially not in the background.

9. Occasionally the batteries must be removed from the scale to get it to connect.

10. It again took several attempts to connect and once connected, either only measures weight, or hangs until it times out and turns off.

11. I stepped on the scale, and the phone app woke up, connected and synced immediately.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix YUNMAI Issues

1. Fix YUNMAI Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart YUNMAI: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the YUNMAI App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "YUNMAI" » Open YUNMAI » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for YUNMAI » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear YUNMAI app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from YUNMAI servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "YUNMAI" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check YUNMAI app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, YUNMAI might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall YUNMAI. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall YUNMAI then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing YUNMAI not working


2. Fix YUNMAI Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make YUNMAI be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to YUNMAI not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, YUNMAI may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
