1. The WORST part is that it accessed my camera in the background! I woke up to a notification on my phone that this app was using my camera when it wasn't supposed to be! IS THIS SPYWARE?! WHY ARE THEY SNOOPING?! If I didn't have the watch, this would be gone in a heartbeat!The app works, which is why I'm giving it 2 stars instead of 1.

2. It says the app doesn't support the latest update.Out of nowhere, my sons watch is completely unlocked! He can call any number.

3. It's disappointing that the watch has good cameras and plenty of storage, yet there isn't a way to access the photos/videos remotely without sending them via messages.

4. I like the firewall idea (no callers except those in contact list).The watch is good quality and sturdy.

5. Also, it doesn't send push notifications that I've received a text message unless I open the app.

6. It worked ok for some time, so I'm not sure if this was an update or some bug, but I am no longer happy with this product (watch) and app.This app is not great and has a lot of bugs.

8. This limitation should have been more clear.Updated review: It seems the server issues I was encountering on my phone and husband's phone has been resolved.

9. On top of that, when I updated the app, it asked me to setup the watch again, so terrible for kids if you plan to limit who can call them or who they can call.

10. no repeat by default.While I do like the privacy and parental features, it often gets disconnected to the servers so if my daughter texts me, I won't see it unless I go into the app and manually check to see if she has sent me anything.

11. to set a reminder it is a must to fill all the fields: title, comment, time, and repeat option.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix TickTalk Issues

1. Fix TickTalk Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart TickTalk: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the TickTalk App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "TickTalk" » Open TickTalk » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for TickTalk » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear TickTalk app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from TickTalk servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "TickTalk" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check TickTalk app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, TickTalk might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall TickTalk. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall TickTalk then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing TickTalk not working


2. Fix TickTalk Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make TickTalk be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to TickTalk not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, TickTalk may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
