If you want to read story, you must log in which requires a paid subscription, therefore rendering the app useless.Won't let me open any articles w\o logging in thus having to pay money to subscribeUseless unless you subscribe.Useless app for a useless newspaper! You are not allowed to read any articles unless you subscribe.

2. What you are is a dinosaur and we all know what happened to them.I have been looking at the obituary section for a long time it wouldn't update before and now your saying I have to subscribe NO THANKS!This app is useless.

3. Which I will NEVER do! I'm not going to subscribe to a newspaper that charges a monthly fee from their customers who mainly just read the obits and nothing else from this POS newspaper! What a stupid decision.

4. Talk about catch 22.So I now have to subscribe in order to use a "free" app that I have used for years?! I think not! No, rather than force me to subscribe I'll just delete you, hate to tell you but you're not the only news service.

5. Too bad they've chosen to charge for an e-paper.Love being able to read the news anytime day or night.

6. I know military service people who's news back home came from the Herald Missmatch.

1. Fix Herald-Dispatch Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:

1. Restart Herald-Dispatch: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
2. Update the Herald-Dispatch App. Here is how:
   1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "Herald-Dispatch" » Open Herald-Dispatch » click "Update".
   2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for Herald-Dispatch » click "UPDATE".
3. Clear Herald-Dispatch app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from Herald-Dispatch servers.
   1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "Herald-Dispatch" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
4. Check Herald-Dispatch app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Herald-Dispatch might not work.
5. Uninstall and reinstall Herald-Dispatch. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall Herald-Dispatch then reinstall.
6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing Herald-Dispatch not working

2. Fix Herald-Dispatch Server issues & Internet Connection

1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make Herald-Dispatch be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to Herald-Dispatch not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, Herald-Dispatch may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
