1. painful to checkin, very slow, 10-30 seconds wait between each step, passport verification freezes the phone for over a minute, then fails... and after checking in boarding passes don't show up automatically, they have to be downloaded, 1 at a time, which takes several seconds each despite it being only a few bytes of data (the slowness is NOT my device or the internet connection, it's this one app)This app used to be pretty good.
2. Not impressed. On my Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra the app told me "Our Inflight Entertainment partner is working hard to update their services to support your device." Why the hell does this app say it needs to be updated to work for individual android phone? Some apps are not optimized, but they should not give a BS error message.
3. This app plus terrible service on the phone and unreliable flights makes me think Westjet is game over!!!This app wouldn't connect to the entertainment on the plane's wifi during the last flight.
4. Supposed can use these unsupported app versions for in-flight entertainment but I had 2 devices last trip that could not play any movies just hung.At least it downloaded but compared to other airlines that I use, this one has the most basic features.
5. As a qualified front end developer and having done apps for both Android and iPhone, you guys really need to test your app before releasing it.Ultra fail for in flight entertainment.
6. Did notice that wifi addresses were getting used up, but that shouldn't be a problem.App version on my phone is "no longer supported", even after I updated to the latest version.
7. So,my only option for boarding passes is the print version at the airport. This app is not useful at all, it needs a lot of work.
8. Both the phone and the tablet have adequate Android versions according to app info.
9. Now, every time I try to add my boarding passes to the app after I've checked in, it takes me BACK to check-in.
10. I would avoid flying Westjet just to have an inflight entertainment experince that actually works.
11. Of all of this then? Isn't it better just to keep a person in airport to do all of this stuff manually, saves so much time in that caseTotally useless.
