1. After letting the app load up for a l-o-n-g time, it opened, and I was able to follow through and cast it to my Roku where it was added as a channel and works like all my other Roku channels (no phone required after the initial set up).

2. Lastly, I also would like the video to show the episode you're currently viewing when tapped, instead of having to go back and, well, I already went into all that.This is a follow-up to a previous rating about the app not opening for me.

3. Sounds like there are bugs that need to be worked out and maybe a way for it flow from one episode to the next (after download) without stopping in between.A year ago when we first got the VidAngel Service it was amazing.

4. There needs to be better filters when browsing, like an option to only show what is on Netflix or Amazon Prime.

5. Everything worked wonderfully! Then, they began having connection issues with some of the streaming services.

6. As of now it's unfiltered so you can click on a show or movie but then it says to add that channel through Amazon, only show what I'm paying for.

7. Pauses randomly several times throughout a show until you slide the time button to a different spot on the show or close and restart the app.

8. The only thing I can watch is Amazon, but that doesn't work because my only option is to watch it on my phone.

9. Please figure out how to have continuous playback, especially because your subscription isn't cheap.Only has Netflix and Amazon add on channels.

10. Does not know where you left off on a show if you have to stop watching and come back to it.

11. Need to add other streaming services like Hulu, Paramount, Disney, otherwise I have no use for this and will have to cancel.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix VidAngel Issues

1. Fix VidAngel Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart VidAngel: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the VidAngel App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "VidAngel" » Open VidAngel » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for VidAngel » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear VidAngel app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from VidAngel servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "VidAngel" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check VidAngel app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, VidAngel might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall VidAngel. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall VidAngel then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing VidAngel not working


2. Fix VidAngel Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make VidAngel be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to VidAngel not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, VidAngel may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
