1. I haven't used the app to book an appointment yet but I assume this is a fairly straightforward process as well.Appointment scheduling feature is useless! It doesn't offer available dates and times - you pick a date, go back to the appointment screen, try to select a time, find out there's nothing available.

2. Ridiculous! Show me what's available, and I'll pick something.Haven't opened this app for some time, opened today, they did some redesign, which looks not bad, but the app just doesn't work.

3. Still a nice app to have to manage appts.The app is super easy to navigate and the sections regarding the needs and care for pets at certain ages is very useful! The personalized pet data is useful to track any medications or vaccines my cat may soon need.

4. It's a bit of a sucker punch every time I open the app.While this works most of the time, it logs me out at least once a month and won't let me re-log in with google email (how I prefer to use this app versus my VCA store login).

5. The load times on the app are a bit slow as well and the search function to find my hospital didn't work - I plugged in my zip and it gave me options for all over the country, even Alabama.

6. It notifies me of my pets appointment and asks me to rate the hospital but I can't see or do anything beyond looking at the "something went wrong page".

7. Extremely useful app- I can schedule appointments after clinic hours when something comes up instead of having to wait (and worry) until the next morning, and accessing records is a breeze.

8. Links send you to non-existent pages, etc... Still needs some work, but overall if it allows me to make appointments and keep track of what my pup has had done then I'll keep it.Some features do not work.

9. Edited to add: Based on response below (which was fairly quick), I did get on the next day w/o a problem; however, I run into this "error" about once a month.

10. I used the report button on the error page so I'll my phones relevant system info should be provided.

11. 👍It's nice to have an app that shows upcoming appointments, reminders, and what medication refills are needed.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix myVCA Issues

1. Fix myVCA Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart myVCA: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the myVCA App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "myVCA" » Open myVCA » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for myVCA » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear myVCA app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from myVCA servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "myVCA" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check myVCA app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, myVCA might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall myVCA. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall myVCA then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing myVCA not working


2. Fix myVCA Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make myVCA be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to myVCA not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, myVCA may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
