Line2 Customer Insights

1. The second thing I dislike is the the text messages rearrange themselves each time I log on after I have been kicked off, and that is also bothersome.Please find a different app.

2. Far too often, I won't receive important text messages or phone calls/voicemails until hours later (if I receive them at all).

3. Sound quality on calls is noticeably less good than the main call function on my phone.

4. And when someone calls, it takes awhile for it to show in my recent phone calls.Prior problems have been fixed.

5. The phone still thinks the call is ongoing and I have to force stop the app so my phone can receive calls, play music, etc.

6. Each time I attempt to open or send a text, the app crashes.

7. No matter what I do...restart my phone, close/restart, reinstall the app I still can't open the pics of any file size.

8. Often, a bunch of them arrive at once hours after they were sent to me when I make a phone call.

9. I wish I could have a separate contact list than my main phone contacts.

10. Every time I try to open a pic the app crashes and restarts.

11. It's prone to crashing when you send messages and doesn't notify for texts or calls.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix Line2 Issues

1. Fix Line2 Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart Line2: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the Line2 App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "Line2" » Open Line2 - Second Phone Number » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for Line2 » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear Line2 - Second Phone Number app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from Line2 servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "Line2 - Second Phone Number" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check Line2 app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Line2 might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall Line2. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall Line2 then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing Line2 not working


2. Fix Line2 Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make Line2 be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to Line2 not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, Line2 may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
