1. The reason it grays out the screen between typing text and adding text to the image is because the app was designed around the most optimal way of displaying as many ads to the user as humanly possible: at every interaction with the image including at rest, load, and close. The eraser doesn't work and there are no "undo" or "redo" options, rendering this app virtually useless.
2. No real frills or thrills here!Terribly Inconsistent! Text will be big without the option to resize smaller, then the same EXACT text written as a new text box can be resized... what!? Don't fool with it too much though, because inconsistencies once again cause your text to shuffle down to a new paragraph making your words stack... what!? Why aren't the text boxes easier to manipulate? Also, if you're not using a stylus, good luck not erasing your text box instead of leveling it.
3. I liked that I could add full sentences- the words & sentence structure looked great & didn't become distorted! I wish you could more freely edit the size/shape of the text box- it's kind of a one size fits all square/slightly rectangular box.
4. They make you watch an ad for each of the following actions: opening the app, selecting the text editor, writing one caption, and editing the color of one caption.
5. Due to way it displays ads it can gray the entire screen, except for the ads, in the middle of you putting text on the image.
6. Simple to use and great options for text editing.
7. I can't change color, size, style, edit a part of the text without ads.
8. I'm uninstalling."May contain ads" is an unbelievable understatement! The startup screen FILLED MY SCREEN WITH ADS THAT I COULD NOT GET RID OF! (One ad, of course, offered a "pro" version... no ads, I presume but I never buy a pig in a poke.) I download and try out apps I might find value in licensing and I buy the pro version of those that deliver what they promise.
9. While it's possible these malfunctions are specific to FlipZs, no other photo editing apps that I've tried failed to include undo/redo options or a functional eraser.
10. I can't express how happy I am to finally find an add text to photo app that is simple for people who are not tech savvy.
11. The box for the text cannot be enlaged horizontally, and when using *size* it distorts the entire box.
