1. Which is too bad because I bought these scales so it would work with the Bluetooth on my phone and I could keep up with my weight loss journey.App is no longer working on Android 9.0. it was always working but buggy but now it's not even getting past a load screen with the silhouette of a man in front of an orange sunset background.

2. Seems TPP don't really care that their products (the app as well as the Smart Scale with Bluetooth 4.0 Technology I just wasted money on) doesn't work with MFP -- yet they still continue to advertise that they do.

8. Would only record a new weight if I first turn off my phones bluetooth, then stood on the scale and when it's done weighing then I can turn bluetooth back on.

9. Apparently it stopped working with MFP back in 2015 and after multiple attempts by MFP to get the folks at Taylor Precision Products to work cooperatively with them, they gave up.

10. After moving and trying to use the app and scale again, the app informed me it was made for an older version of Android.

11. Was a great scale until it lost its "Smarts"I've been using my scale/app for at least 6 years.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix SmarTrack Issues

1. Fix SmarTrack Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart SmarTrack: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the SmarTrack App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "SmarTrack" » Open SmarTrack » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for SmarTrack » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear SmarTrack app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from SmarTrack servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "SmarTrack" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check SmarTrack app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, SmarTrack might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall SmarTrack. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall SmarTrack then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing SmarTrack not working


2. Fix SmarTrack Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make SmarTrack be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to SmarTrack not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, SmarTrack may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.

For the past 2 days, the Smartrack app gives me "Network Error" when I try to start it. I press "OK", and it shows "Signing In" for hours with no progress. I have attempted closing the app rebooting the phone, updating iOS. My phone has no problems accessing the wifi network, cellular network, and other bluetooth devices. Please help me to get it working, so I can continue to track my weight. iphone SE2 ios 14.4 (previously 13.7) smartrack version is current, but I cannotget the number since it does not start
