1. I'll buy a one time purchase for some upgrades, but I'm sick of all the subscriptions and just want a product that works like stitcher.Changing my review from 1 star to 4 because they actually fixed the 3 serious playback issues I was having.

2. At first I thought this was a uploading issue and was writing down time stops, but on revisiting the skip was gone.I had problems 2 years ago with the features of the app.

7. Not sure if they ever added a way to prevent stitcher from automatically starting every time I push my headphone button twice.

8. This latest update required me to uninstall and reinstall the app just to get in, and it now appears all my listening history and favorites list has been wiped out.

9. Biggest issue, and it is a big one - lots of shows are just not natively available in the app, and there's no option to add from RSS feed.

10. Wish playing an episode did not automatically add other episodes from that show to the queue.

11. In trying to solve the issue i found that it had balloned to be 17GB of storage on my phone.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix Stitcher Issues

1. Fix Stitcher Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart Stitcher: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the Stitcher App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "Stitcher" » Open Stitcher - Podcast Player » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for Stitcher » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear Stitcher - Podcast Player app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from Stitcher servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "Stitcher - Podcast Player" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check Stitcher app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Stitcher might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall Stitcher. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall Stitcher then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing Stitcher not working


2. Fix Stitcher Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make Stitcher be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to Stitcher not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, Stitcher may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
