Stereo Customer Insights

1. The only problem I am facing right now is the lack of Arabic users ! I thought there were not many in the Arabic pages, but me and a friend tried to set both of our apps' settings to Arabic and started searching and we both were'nt unable to find anyone, we even couldn't find each others! So the only way to use this app is to set the language settings to English.So far The streaming quality and sound quality I did not have a problem with what I do have a problem with is that the application Is not fully accessible You're not able to control anything properly without the buttons that's on the screen and TalkBack is not reading it.

2. When I open the app or a show ends, BAM, let's listen to a few seconds of how stoned someone is.I have an Android and when I try to connect to others live it doesn't work.

3. Secondly, I am not sure whether my voice messages are sent or not, or whether what I've said was audible/coherent I think a preview with a send button/swipe would be a better solution.(I ran out of characters)It's a very cool concept however, it doesn't work well on Android.

4. I think Stereo should add a message system to the host for those who are mute/socially anxious and cant communicate vocally i really like the avatar feature but i feel like it should have even more customization options, more skin options, more hair option, more everything.All around, this is pretty mediocre.

5. However, I'm having major issues when connecting and having a conversation with others period my Mike on my headphones or even on the phone itself does not go through, and I cannot hear anyone on the opposite end.

6. I know other users had this issue, can anyone confirm that they can't hear anyone when they go live? It connects but no sound.

7. Firstly the interface is not polished, I don't like how it drops you directly into a podcast, I'd rather have a home screen where I'd choose to go for a fully random podcast, a category, one of the creators I follow, or a language I like.

8. But, if I leave a message on an open conversation my microphone works perfectly well and I can hear both parties.

9. It's a shame because I feel a lot of people are moving to this platform and a lot of the visual impaired Community will feel left out of this.This app isn't user friendly.

10. A random show will immediately start playing the moment you open the app or when the actual show you're listening to stop.

11. And it would be nice to be able to send text messages during the podcasts rather than just the audio messages.The app is great but I think it has some issues.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix Stereo Issues

1. Fix Stereo Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart Stereo: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the Stereo App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "Stereo" » Open Stereo: Speak Up & Share » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for Stereo » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear Stereo: Speak Up & Share app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from Stereo servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "Stereo: Speak Up & Share" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check Stereo app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Stereo might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall Stereo. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall Stereo then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing Stereo not working


2. Fix Stereo Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make Stereo be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to Stereo not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, Stereo may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
