1. What is it doing during those times? I can't wait until the battery in my loop recorder runs out so that I can delete this app from my phone.New update added icons to status bar and lock screen without my permission.

2. At 69 years old, I opened my phone to find a missing icon on my home page which caused a minor panic trying to figure out which icon was missing out of the many apps I have! This took several stressful minutes.

3. It defeats the purpose if I then have to keep track of my symptoms in another application.This app updated and it keeps asking me to turn on background data but it is turned on.

4. Now I have to charge my phone twice as often because according to my phone this app uses more battery than all of the other apps in my phone combined.

5. I have changed every setting possible on my phone to ensure it's sucking the life out of my battery and it's still not running at all times.

6. Out of each month, I'm lucky to get 10 days of successful recordings out 30 daysThis app recently updated on my phone without any notification or permission.

7. Have rebooted, uninstalled the app, cleared cache, cleared data, etc., and even reformatted my phone.

8. Cons: After recent update the app sends constant alerts that it is running in the background, which is annoying because I know it is supposed to be running in the background.

9. Had the recorder put in on June 10th and still not working.seems it can only connect if on data not Wi-Fi as advertised.

10. Do the developers of this app really think it was a good idea to place stress on people whose hearts are being monitored???!!!Before they changed the app from ConfirmRx to MyMerlin, everything was fine.

11. It now also sends a notification every time I access app to tell me that it is running in background.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix myMerlin Issues

1. Fix myMerlin Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart myMerlin: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the myMerlin App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "myMerlin" » Open myMerlin™ » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for myMerlin » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear myMerlin™ app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from myMerlin servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "myMerlin™" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check myMerlin app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, myMerlin might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall myMerlin. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall myMerlin then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing myMerlin not working


2. Fix myMerlin Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make myMerlin be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to myMerlin not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, myMerlin may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.

Hello, My mother has passed away and I have her phone. I want to delete the app and restore to factory settings as well as get rid of any information that is associated with her and may still be on the phone.

Please send details on how to remove the app from the Samsung s3. There’s a admin password protection that prevents removal or use of the phone for any other purpose. We are no longer using the app. But want to use the phone. Mrs Raspberry has since developed dementia but can use the phone to contact her daughter when needed and has a sitter that cares for her. We appreciate your assistance. We need the admin password and any other info that helps remove the software lock on the phone that prohibits use of it to just the myMerlin app.
