It would be better with a few additional features: option to be alerted when watches/warnings expire; county level location selection; full state location selection; filter by type of alerts to be notified of; and location search results showing city and state so you know you have the right one (there are many cities with the same name).Downloaded app in May 2021 as replacement to WDT's Weather Radio, which is no longer supported.

2. If you need an app that's not only more accurate than your phone's built-in wireless emergency alerts, but more customizable in regards to what you get audible alerts for as well, this app is THE ONE.Good for one very specific location at a time.

3. Great idea, bad execution.Super helpful, get alerts in my notifications, all have unique icons so after awhile of using i could tell what the alert is just by the icon.

4. Comparing alert times to IEMBot, at least with the phone screen on it took less than 30 seconds, which seems great to me and comparable to WEA as I remember enough of a delay being able to confirm I was in a polygon from IEMBot before it was sent to my phone via WEA.

5. This is very good for people who are outdoors or in areas w/ inclement weatherGreat app if you move around a lot, as it only alerts you if severe weather is near your current location.

1. Fix Severe Weather Alerts Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:

1. Restart Severe Weather Alerts: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
2. Update the Severe Weather Alerts App. Here is how:
   1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "Severe Weather Alerts" » Open Severe Weather Alerts » click "Update".
   2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for Severe Weather Alerts » click "UPDATE".
3. Clear Severe Weather Alerts app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from Severe Weather Alerts servers.
   1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "Severe Weather Alerts" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
4. Check Severe Weather Alerts app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Severe Weather Alerts might not work.
5. Uninstall and reinstall Severe Weather Alerts. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall Severe Weather Alerts then reinstall.
6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing Severe Weather Alerts not working

2. Fix Severe Weather Alerts Server issues & Internet Connection

1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make Severe Weather Alerts be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to Severe Weather Alerts not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, Severe Weather Alerts may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
