1. Also when you press back everything refreshes to the top of the page not at the last thing you were looking at, so I have to start all over again, really time consuming navigating this app.It totally erased every item in my cart!! And it is super slow , it tends to go to the very beginning of the list after placing an item in cart, it shows very few items in succession before needing to refresh and continue!!! Really HORRIBLE app! It's only because of the awesome deals offered that I have even messed with it at all, but I'm done.

2. Then half the time after viewing an item and then going back to the browsing list,it sends uou back to the top and you have to scroll down all over again.

3. Browsing will only show 10 items at a time and takes forever to load when you click "view more".

4. Desktop may work fine, but for mobile it is garbage.Terrible experience with the app! I've used this app for 2 or 3 years now & it is worse each time I login.

5. (Previous versions have done it, and the current version did tonite.) Out-of-stock items continue to show up for sale on the app, weeks or months since being available for sale.

6. No wonder they are going out of business!Hostile user interface! If you refine your search results, or select an item that's out-of-stock, the app freezes up.

7. For the past week, navigating inside the app is a series of click and spins which take you no where and eventually time out.

8. I would have given only 1 Star but at the last minute my item pulled up and I was able to place an order.

9. However having to use bonus cash in a week's time is not reasonable for most of us.

10. Takes pages a terrible amount of time to open and close.

11. Menu selections work on occasion, and fail to respond on others, sometimes locking up the application altogether - thus, requiring a full restart of the application.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix Sears Issues

1. Fix Sears Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart Sears: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the Sears App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "Sears" » Open Sears – Shop better, Save more » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for Sears » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear Sears – Shop better, Save more app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from Sears servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "Sears – Shop better, Save more" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check Sears app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Sears might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall Sears. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall Sears then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing Sears not working


2. Fix Sears Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make Sears be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to Sears not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, Sears may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
