Yarn Customer Insights

1. 😕😩😒Constantly forces you to pay for a free membership for a week and then you need to pay R66 a week or around $5 just to get access to features which should be free right off the bat and the need of the membership to carry on a story.

2. Do not download this app if you're looking for something good and something free.the app is great, but almost everything you need to pay for, every time when i wanted to open a picture, you need to subscribe in order to see it.

3. try to give a free trial for everyone, 7 days, without any billing or payment, you guys really dont know how to make money, the app is great, but u guys makes it worst.

4. Ill find another similar app that is free.Worst app ever first of all the app picks a story for you.

5. I don't want the free trial let alone forget about it and get charged $70 for a year?! Over priced and not worth $70 a year for what the app is.

6. Not even the first story is free.

7. After it picks that story for you you can't look at the pictures, go to the next chapter, or read a different one.

8. After I read the first episode, the thing popped up that said "what's next?" Basically telling you to get a membership.

9. For the second ep? And when I searched another story the same thing popped up.

10. When I clicked a random story the thing popped up.

11. The site also lists that I could cancel at any time before Oct.2nd and not be charged $69.99+tax. Yet, this app states that the cancellation will take place Oct.3rd!!! A report will be filed if I see any charges on my card.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix Yarn Issues

1. Fix Yarn Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart Yarn: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the Yarn App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "Yarn" » Open Yarn - Chat Fiction » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for Yarn » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear Yarn - Chat Fiction app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from Yarn servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "Yarn - Chat Fiction" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check Yarn app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Yarn might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall Yarn. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall Yarn then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing Yarn not working


2. Fix Yarn Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make Yarn be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to Yarn not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, Yarn may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.

  • Hello,I accidentally made a subscription and i am only 15 years old and i accidentally used my parents debit card but i thought it would be free for 7 days and i think i charged a bunch of money to there account. I haven’t used it yet just please revoke it

  • I have tried 3 different times to cancel this app (my son downloaded it), and have sent at least 2 other messages about it failing to cancel my subscription. I was just charged over $70 for the yearly subscription!!! I need a refund AND to cancel the subscription. Not sure if you all will get this message since you haven’t replied to the last ones but we will see.

  • I was charged for a yearly subscription to this app and I will not be using it and was never notified that the free trial was up. I will continue to send complaints until I am refunded the money.
