Scenic Tailormade Customer Insights

1. The wifi connection in my room is bad the app will not update the daily program, so information about the days activities are not available.This was our fourth Scenic cruise and the previous ones were faultless with a conventional Tailormade device with a receiver supplied on board.

2. Each time I've tried to use it has been a struggle - it's like it can't disconnect from a guide's device to reconnect to a new one, requiring a totally uninstall and reinstall of app, then full reboot of phone.

3. Some features do not work at all, others are buggy.Useless both before and during my Cruise At leasts let users download the full experience before travel and NOT daily whilst travelingdoes not work.

4. We resent being given an unsatisfactory experimental voice guide in place of what we had come to expect and we would not travel with them again.Limited compatibility - Downloaded onto 2 devices and neither would function correctly.

5. Scenic would be better off going back to their own handheld devices.Terrible to connect cant save to SD storage and keeps saying not enough space on device even though there is.

6. The information part worked well but despite the efforts of the on board Reception, our Android mobiles were not compatible with the voice guide.

7. This was such a common problem that some guides resorted to having to shout! Our friends had iPhones which were compatible, but their phones overheated and the batteries were insufficient to last a full day.

8. Scenic advice was to remove and reinstall but due to limited compatibility in development our devices were never going to connect.

9. Wasted hours/days!! Get a loan device immediately boarding tour and hope that works as 50% of the ones we tried didn't either.

10. If you have a newer phone you need a dongle to use your head phones, and so you cannot use an external battery at the same time.

11. Great potentialThis app is very buggy, locks up when used away from wifi and has to reload the subject city every time you turn it on.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix Scenic Tailormade Issues

1. Fix Scenic Tailormade Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart Scenic Tailormade: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the Scenic Tailormade App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "Scenic Tailormade" » Open Scenic Tailormade » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for Scenic Tailormade » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear Scenic Tailormade app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from Scenic Tailormade servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "Scenic Tailormade" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check Scenic Tailormade app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Scenic Tailormade might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall Scenic Tailormade. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall Scenic Tailormade then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing Scenic Tailormade not working


2. Fix Scenic Tailormade Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make Scenic Tailormade be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to Scenic Tailormade not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, Scenic Tailormade may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
