5. The messaging system and the profiles are great-it does give you a sense of the room and the person you might live with.

6. I bit, and even the people looking for rooms that messaged me first would never write back.

7. Plugging in your specifications and location preferences because of it are a pain in the butt-you simply WON'T be able to find everything and everyone you are looking for.

8. And I've found there are way many listjngs that should've been closed weeks ago for people who have already claimed they have taken a roommate already.

9. I realized pretty quickly there would be no way to respond to or read any messages from anyone looking without paying $30.

10. Waste of my time and money.I've had nothing but difficulty with Roomster.

11. Unlike Craigslist, there is a basic amount of vetting for each user so you do feel like you get to talk to actual people.

1. Fix Roomster Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:

1. Restart Roomster: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
2. Update the Roomster App. Here is how:
   1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "Roomster" » Open Roomster® 5M Downloads » click "Update".
   2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for Roomster » click "UPDATE".
3. Clear Roomster® 5M Downloads app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from Roomster servers.
   1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "Roomster® 5M Downloads" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
4. Check Roomster app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Roomster might not work.
5. Uninstall and reinstall Roomster. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall Roomster then reinstall.
6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing Roomster not working

2. Fix Roomster Server issues & Internet Connection

1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make Roomster be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to Roomster not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, Roomster may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
