1. I'm not sure what's going on, but since the last update I've been having this periodic issue where clicking through to open Instagram with a repost only allows me to send the post as a message and not post it to my account.

2. Since the last update (I guess), whenever I try to repost something, it's only giving me the option to send it to one of the people I follow instead of being able to post directly to my feed.

3. That's super lame! It means you have to post each page separately?? How the app developers over looked something that is so common on Instagram is beyond me?? And I too have found the "paste" button in the caption box doesn't work.

4. Is there a work around for this issue? Update: It appears the above problem has been fixed.Awesome! Everything is fixed, app does what it's supposed to once again.

5. Fix the issue! Until then I have found a different app that'll do the exact same thing this app used to do.What happened? This app used to work great, exactly as advertised.

7. But if i can't recover the usability I've come to expect i have no choice but to go to a competing app.This app worked pretty well with the exception of a few minor glitches from time to time...UNTIL recently! Now it only wants to send posts via DM which is pointless.

9. But I certainly didn't want that constant push notification either.About to uninstall! If a post has multiple pages to it, the app only copies the first page.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix Repost Issues

1. Fix Repost Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart Repost: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the Repost App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "Repost" » Open Repost for Instagram » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for Repost » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear Repost for Instagram app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from Repost servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "Repost for Instagram" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check Repost app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Repost might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall Repost. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall Repost then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing Repost not working


2. Fix Repost Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make Repost be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to Repost not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, Repost may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
