1. The secret to connection is to keep the ring at least 50% charged, which means we have to charge it every two or three days.At first I liked the product but they get you in the door with a free trial and then they start charging you monthly for all the information from the tracker.
2. Not even necessarily in the ring, but maybe pair with other smart devices (think: Google speaker) to wake you up at the optional time during your sleep schedule.
3. If you're not willing to pay the monthly $6 membership, you only get to see the top line numbers (e.g. 88 readiness, 85 sleep, etc.) with no additional info.
4. To clarify, it will record a great night's sleep and high readiness score when I have tossed and turned all night and am exhausted.
5. I regret upgrading to gen 3, ended my subscription, and have stopped using it for sleep tracking now that the new staging is not optional.
6. For example, last night I was asleep by 11:30pm but the app shows I didn't go to sleep until around 1:30am despite definitely being asleep for those two missing hours.
7. Now with a monthly membership, you get much better syncing through Health Connect but there is a caveat: YOUR DATA IS LOCKED BEHIND THEIR PAYWALL.
8. The hardware was always excellent but data syncing to other apps was the hit or miss aspect that turned me away.
9. It also records lots of steps when I haven't moved. This app is exactly what you want in a health tracker, and the customer service is top notch so if there is a feature you don't have you can submit a request for the team to add it.
10. It also has guided meditations, and many other features outside the tracking aspect.I love this app! They constantly update it, and it's very accurate.
11. With that, sleep tracking worked great for 3 years.
