1. Fix issues with first-gen pairing for the love.Says it needs Bluetooth even though it doesn't need access to it in any way and still works fine with all features except with syncing media on quest, constantly asks me to enable Bluetooth every 2 seconds, making the app almost unusable.

2. and with the photo downloading, when im trying to sync photos/videos from the headset to the app it says either "Error" or it syncs everything so i cant find that photo/video.

3. It also plays incredibly long animations when trying to pair the headset, as if I need to be reminded how to plug in and turn on the headset for the billionth time, making the process inbearable.

7. The whole vision of VR for Meta is about connecting people, it's what the company was built on, so it's a dissapointment that it is actually frustrating trying to talk to new friends I've met in VR.Terrible interface.

8. App was updated but the issue persists.The app is generally good for browsing games, casting a headset to the tv etc.

9. I even tried letting it have Bluetooth, but it didn't stop the Bluetooth access needed popup popping up every 2 seconds.

10. When trying to transfer photos from the headset to the app, the headset automatically syncs all of your photos.

11. Riddled with bugs, messing up my headset in the process, needing a restart.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix Meta Horizon Issues

1. Fix Meta Horizon Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart Meta Horizon: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the Meta Horizon App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "Meta Horizon" » Open Meta Horizon » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for Meta Horizon » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear Meta Horizon app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from Meta Horizon servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "Meta Horizon" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check Meta Horizon app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Meta Horizon might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall Meta Horizon. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall Meta Horizon then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing Meta Horizon not working


2. Fix Meta Horizon Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make Meta Horizon be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to Meta Horizon not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, Meta Horizon may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.

Hey! I am trying to change my account's email on the oculus website but it says that my email is already being used, I tried deactivating my account but it is still saying its still being used. I wanna try deactivating that account and using my email to link it with facebook so I can make friends!
