myGMRS Customer Insights

1. It says to find repeaters outside your local area to use the map link? Well, the map link shows a map, but no repeaters? The map is useless.

2. Multiple issues logging in, resetting password, loading the map for repeaters.

3. There is also no function to search for repeaters outside your local area.

4. 👎This is excellent! I can travel & recreate, see what repeaters are nearby, and have the info I need to access them.

5. Even after updating to latest version I can see any repeaters on the map, it's just an empty map.Won't open.

6. I have an android phone, press the app icon and it shows the pic of the app but no menu to even log in.The app is usable for about 5 minutes and then all the map wants to do is zoom out to a worldwide view.

7. Very disappointed but will find another way to find repeaters.

8. Until this and other issues are fixed, expect minimal performance from this app.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix myGMRS Issues

1. Fix myGMRS Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart myGMRS: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the myGMRS App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "myGMRS" » Open myGMRS » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for myGMRS » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear myGMRS app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from myGMRS servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "myGMRS" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check myGMRS app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, myGMRS might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall myGMRS. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall myGMRS then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing myGMRS not working


2. Fix myGMRS Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make myGMRS be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to myGMRS not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, myGMRS may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
