Reolink Customer Insights

1. Not able to utilize the playback feature at all, some type of compatibility issue! Keep up the good work guys and gals! Not good experience so far, thumbnails on playback, take forever to load, and most of them while trying to it crashes back to the main screen.

2. I liked it better when the feed fit the entire length of my phone (full screen) when in landscape mode.UPDATE: 07/06/23 App is much smoother, only real complaint now is that it doesn't work well with my Galaxy fold 4.

3. Customer service gives you the run around.When I first got the camera it works good, just a little delay in footage & may need to charge the battery if it doesn't get enough sun.

4. Camera seem to be good, app not so much! The PTZ button is a nightmare on a mobile device!Giving 2 stars is really stretching it, but I'll do it because this use to be a reliable product for almost a year and an half until about five months ago.

5. Not sure what happened but the stream and playback video no longer stretches to fit the full phone screen in landscape view.

6. DOING IT AGAIN! Yes I have the latest update! *THEY KNOW;down loaded logsMost my concerns are centered around using it with a fold 4 with recent updates, it all used to work just fine.

7. I find myself having to use the iOS app, because the Android version is sadly junk.Update: new version released, UI changes were done, still talk button is missing for doorbells in landscape mode.

8. On Android, the home screen preview never works and the Detection Zone image is black making it less useful without the image to paint on.

9. They need to guarantee their products.It cost pretty much the camera.The Android app works intermittently and is very buggy.

10. Green & green light blinking while being charged makes me think it's something wrong with the battery itself because if you use a wall charge it connects.However, programming, security measures needs to be updated too.

11. Give it biometrics to skip this!! Taking down my entire set up is annoying!! That's why I have a solar panel, so I don't have to touch it!!App use to work great.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix Reolink Issues

1. Fix Reolink Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart Reolink: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the Reolink App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "Reolink" » Open Reolink » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for Reolink » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear Reolink app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from Reolink servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "Reolink" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check Reolink app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Reolink might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall Reolink. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall Reolink then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing Reolink not working


2. Fix Reolink Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make Reolink be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to Reolink not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, Reolink may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
