1. I was making inventory of my cards, which the app makes easy to find the right version of one's cards & add the quantity of each, however I was shocked to find that it's limited to 375 cards total! I barely scratched the surface with my inventory! I went to check how much it would cost for the upgrade and can't believe that it is $4.99 PER MONTH.
2. The subscription is too expensive to justify what you get out of it, in my opinion but the free version is still super useful. This application contains absolutely everything you might want for tabulating a Magic collection.
3. Actual opinion: It looks like a really solid app with useful features, but I can't make use of it because the tabs at the bottom of the screen are covered by the home, back, and chapter buttons on my phone.
4. Even under normal circumstances, though, the search engine is clunky, and deck changes occasionally fail to save.Disclaimer: This is potentially a problem unique to my phone, and I believe this app is worth your time.
5. Its core features are completely free, and, if you want to go deep, it's subscription features are incredibly helpful for maintaining a large Magic collection.
6. Also, each has it's own slight nuances in terms of features, but that's a good thing because certain feature not found in one I can jist switch to the other.
7. The play test UI is a bit small on my phone screen, but works great from the website.
8. Free version is great, and for $4.95/month extra service is really worth the money.
9. However, once probably every 2 or 3 times I open the app, it has to redownload a bunch of card data, which takes several minutes, during which time the search feature largely doesn't work.
10. Additionally, the clunkiness and slowness people are experiencing (it happened to me too) seems to be from the card images loading, as the app fills up the cache.
11. The fact that your decks and collections are stored on the cloud means that everything is automatically backed up, and you can access your information from another phone or computer.
