1. 2020 and it's great to watch the Aurora Borealis Live although we are not on site and sitting relax on the other part of the world, but the downside are those 2 cameras facing towards the strong lights pollution in the city and is such a distraction of the sight!! Another camera has another revolving light from the lighthouse and it completely distracts as well!.
2. So I spent a lot of time trying to figure out how to enter a camera menu from the instruction slides, in vain, as a live aurora passed overhead!I like the scenery once I get in there but, I wished I didn't have to choose to skip into of slideshow every time I open the app.
3. And the live feed for the camera is great! However, some limitations or improvements required are - (1) it's only restricted to places where the cameras are (2) some cameras are not working or the live feed is not possible for whatever reasons (3) random advertisement that you cant skip..When it's working it's great, but it's very glitchy.
4. Aside from the annoyances, it's a nice app to see the northern lights :)The app is great & notified me of some fantastic views of the Aurora Borealis! I was so happy I could catch it live! One HUGE downside though is all the ads!!! I was constantly interrupted by them and there was no way out other than to force close and go back in.
5. Does this app just notify when it is viewable in the places the web cam is? in which case unless you are in one of those places its no good for meThis realtime app played a vital part in me and my 11 yearold seeeing the northern lights for the first time on a recent trip to Iceland.
6. Now I mainly use it for the notifications when there is activity then go to whatever website the live stream is on.I definitely want to be alerted when the lights are active especially when I am travelling north hunting for the lights.
7. A similar named iPhone app helps set the phone's camera mode to capture what one sees, I mistakenly thought this was the Android version.
8. Sometimes it won't let me zoom in, it's annoying to have to skip the intro slideshow every time I open it and it constantly asks for me to leave feedback.
9. Comment below says 1 ad per session, not always true, I've just had 3 in a row, last one took control and without interaction took me to the play store to download something I didn't want.
10. A lot of apps give you helpful information but what i found most helpful with this app was knowing the aurora was visible when we were in a cloudy area.
11. It eventually forced me to find where the feed was initially coming from and go to that site instead of using the app.
