1. I hope they work out the kinks, I'd love to use the sound id.I am so pleasantly surprised at how good this app is! It is super dependable about picking up (live via recording from my phone) and identifying birds with incredible accuracy.

2. The features such as looking at results to see a variety of pictures of the bird plus recordings of their calls? I love it! I'll regularly play calls back to birds and draw them in within 10 feet and I'm able to get a good look at them.

The only feature I would like to see be a little better is that the provided sample recordings (after the bird has been identified) don't necessarily match even closely to the song or call that you've just recorded, since it IDs the particular call in the recording it would be nice to highlight a sample recordings that also contained that call.This app was wonderful.

1. Restart Merlin Bird ID: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
2. Update the Merlin Bird ID App. Here is how:
   1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "Merlin Bird ID" » Open Merlin Bird ID by Cornell Lab » click "Update".
   2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for Merlin Bird ID » click "UPDATE".
3. Clear Merlin Bird ID by Cornell Lab app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from Merlin Bird ID servers.
   1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "Merlin Bird ID by Cornell Lab" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
4. Check Merlin Bird ID app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Merlin Bird ID might not work.
5. Uninstall and reinstall Merlin Bird ID. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall Merlin Bird ID then reinstall.
6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing Merlin Bird ID not working
