1. Where it lacks is in it's ability to quickly connect to the trainer - I usually have to launch the app 3 times before it can pick up the sensor (fresh batteries, pedaling to wake up, etc.). Additionally, it crashes if you attempt to do more than 1 workout before restarting the app.

2. I can't begin to count the amount of times a workout has been ruined, restarted my phone/app or felt disappointed with my Kinetic trainer.

3. It's my go-to right now, but I expect better.This app is required to realize the benefits of the Kinetic trainer, so it is essentially part of the whole product.

4. It becomes hard but doable, so I downshift and it behaves like a reasonable break resistance trainer.

6. biggest gripe: why in the world is location permission necessary for a STATIONARY trainer app? Not only that, but when location is off, the app simply won't connect to the trainer, and won't give you any prompts as to why.

7. Now this winter, I get back on the trainer for the first time and I still have disappearing menus.

8. This is a resistance trainer that cannot be adjusted.

9. The r1 seems to be a great trainer so far using Zwift.

10. I have a Kinetic Trainer, so this app seemed like the obvious choice to download.

11. I shifted into my hardest gears to get any kind of workout (and the unit spins so fast it makes noise that my wife complains about).

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix Kinetic Fit Issues

1. Fix Kinetic Fit Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart Kinetic Fit: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the Kinetic Fit App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "Kinetic Fit" » Open Kinetic Fit » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for Kinetic Fit » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear Kinetic Fit app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from Kinetic Fit servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "Kinetic Fit" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check Kinetic Fit app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Kinetic Fit might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall Kinetic Fit. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall Kinetic Fit then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing Kinetic Fit not working


2. Fix Kinetic Fit Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make Kinetic Fit be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to Kinetic Fit not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, Kinetic Fit may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.

I received a statement from a card that is rarely used only to find 5 months of charges from Kineticfit for $89.87. I have never subscribed for this & have NEVER authorized any funds to be removed from my card. I received a text to my phone that I was charged 89$ for a subscription at my bank that I never heard of or ordered. I expect to hear back from my bank that this has been refunded to my account plus the 36.$ overdraft. The matter will be referred to the Better Business Bureau if I have no response.
