Connect Customer Insights

1. Pair the speaker like how you would normally (power on, press mode button for 2 seconds til blue light blinks, locate speaker in list-for me it is BF400 KICKER, select it and finish by agreeing to pair.

2. Wait a few seconds for "BF200 KICKER" to appear, select this and you will connect like you would any other "normal" bluetooth device.

3. even if I need to want to listen to local radio, you still have no need to have access to my location data.App keeps disconnecting every time I toggle between it and whatever music app I'm using and won't reconnect without restarting the app.

4. there's nothing in connecting my phone with Bluetooth to my speaker to play audio the requires that you know where I am.

5. It USED to connect just fine, but now my phone says I need to app if I try to connect through Bluetooth.

6. But the app doesn't play music, so I can connect, change all the settings, yes, but not use the speaker to play anything.

7. Got my tablet to hook up with Bluetooth, no app!S22 app crashes consistently within a few seconds of opening, this also happened on s20 as well It seems to have had this problem for a couple years with no help from the manufacturer.

8. Was going to buy a second Bf400 and link them but not now...pity because it really does sound pretty good when it works right.The app turned my speaker into a brick.

9. On your phone, in the bluetooth section, DO NOT select "LE_BF200 KICKER", this gives you a message to use an app.

10. Time to time I would lose connection and would need to re-pair the Bluetooth.

11. I'm truly disappointed how they screwed up a good thing.User unfriendly! Trying to connect my phone.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix Connect Issues

1. Fix Connect Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart Connect: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the Connect App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "Connect" » Open Connect » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for Connect » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear Connect app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from Connect servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "Connect" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check Connect app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Connect might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall Connect. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall Connect then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing Connect not working


2. Fix Connect Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make Connect be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to Connect not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, Connect may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
