1. And the fact it looked like a piece of rebar bent around my wrist fit my style.So disappointing that Jawbone devices/apps no longer work! I have both Jawbone & FitBit Trackers, but much preferred the interface of the UP app to that of the FitBit.

2. Jawbone device i used to like, lost for a couple years and just found again is now absolutely useless 😡It never worked in the first place.

9. Even though they are no longer in business (if you're wondering why you cannot connect your device) they should still allow users to access their Tracker via the UP app.

10. like another reviewer I downloaded app and when you try to select your device (or any device) you get a pop up "internet connection required" (definitely got one of those!) and that's the end of that.

11. Useless.I just installed this so excited to be able to use to team up with my sister on our health goals (shes an iOS and I'm an android user) but it won't even let either of us get past set up.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix UP Issues

1. Fix UP Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart UP: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the UP App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "UP" » Open UP® – Smart Coach for Health » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for UP » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear UP® – Smart Coach for Health app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from UP servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "UP® – Smart Coach for Health" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check UP app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, UP might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall UP. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall UP then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing UP not working


2. Fix UP Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make UP be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to UP not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, UP may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
