1. I like goodreads website, but the app is terrible.I love Goodreads, I do, or maybe I did? Things that used to be features, like comparing my books and ratings to those of my friends seem to be silently disappearing, while the bugs of this app seem to be piling up with no fix in sight.
2. I think most of the issues are due to an inability to handle multiple editions properly, but they seem to have made no progress in fixing this.If you have an android and the ONLY thing you want to do with this app is rate/track the books you read, it is okay.
3. Also under the 'my books' tab, not being able to see the progress bar for current reads unless you go individually to update each book is also inconvenient.
4. I find myself using Libby (library app) more.I like that I can keep track of books I've read/want to read.
5. How is it 2022 and we don't have dark mode yet?! My eyes!! Maybe it's just Android that is lacking in features and reproducibility? The experience is never consistent (e.g. sometimes it shows dates, can't see all the reviews, can't filter properly, hard to distinguish audiobooks/editions, and so much more!).
6. I really love tracking how many pages I've read but so many of the books have the incorrect number of pages.
7. Why is this version lacking? Otherwise, I've always loved goodreads and it's my #1 for book tracking!I really wanted to like this app because of the integration Goodreads has with my Kindle but it's just terrible.
8. Another issue is books going to read instead or currently reading and not allowing you to mark progress.
9. The worst problem? Hit or miss if you'll get to read the reviews for a given book on the app.Pros & cons! Decent app.
10. On top of that many features are only available if you use the website like leaving private notes on books.
11. Firstly, the fact that you're unable to change or even look at other editions of the book is very frustrating.
I'm trying to unfreeze a topic in my group but it keeps giving me an error
