1. Since the newest update I have had nothing but issues....the first day I couldn't connect to the sea horse, then later it kept saying "uh-oh something went wrong." The next day it was fixed and worked fine.

2. I really wish it would work properly.It's okay when it works, but half the time it refuses to connect.

3. It doesn't even work in the next room over anymore which is only 5 more feet away! What's the point in having Bluetooth if you have to practically be right next to it in order for it to work? Major flaw.I am just writing a whole new review because I'm tired of editing it.

5. Each time I'm actually able to control the device, if I leave the room the device disconnects and won't allow me to reconnect and change any settings.

6. The error rate is about 10% so I still count this as a highly recommended app, especially when paired with the Fisher Price Smart Connect Deluxe Soother.

7. Even one time that didn't work and I had to wait for an update.

8. The app had also told me about 5 times that I needed to remove batteries & replace..Since the recent update it logs me out every time and won't keep anything connected.

9. The most recent update kicked me out and now I can't even connect at all.

10. When it does work, it randomly turns on music in the middle of the night and wakes up my child.

11. I also wish it could go louder simply for the white noise, which doesn't seem as loud as the songs.Terrible. Worse than the original app, rarely works.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix Fisher-Price Issues

1. Fix Fisher-Price Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart Fisher-Price: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the Fisher-Price App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "Fisher-Price" » Open Fisher-Price® Smart Connect™ » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for Fisher-Price » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear Fisher-Price® Smart Connect™ app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from Fisher-Price servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "Fisher-Price® Smart Connect™" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check Fisher-Price app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Fisher-Price might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall Fisher-Price. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall Fisher-Price then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing Fisher-Price not working


2. Fix Fisher-Price Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make Fisher-Price be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to Fisher-Price not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, Fisher-Price may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.

Hi there, Can we please get ‘Shapes and Colours’ and ‘First Words’ back Up and running as these apps are fantastic and my 2 year old son loves them. Please? Not convinced by the alternative app offered, just not as good. Regards Katrina C
