Frigidaire 2.0 Customer Insights

1. It just stated it was connected and then go back to the app to try to change temp and says it's not? The light on the unit says it's connected to wifi, but the app says it's not.Bad..constantly dropping connection from the refrigerator ..reconnecting is even worse.

2. (Hope this saves you a lot of stress and frustration, you will thank me later 😉)App sometimes reports "unable to connect to the cloud, please try again later" when it has issues using its own back end to function.

3. Edit: The most annoying aspect of the app currently is when I go into it, I keep getting a notification to "switch to the new frigidaire app" and after clicking continue to install the new app, it takes me to the app I already have installed.I've been using the app for close to a year.

4. I have un plugged the unit, reset my wifi, and powered down my phone and nothing seems to help it find the wifi not 5g.

5. Now to try to install the app to my husband's phone.. May lose stars if I am unable to CONNECT.

6. Please fix these issues! I had the similar problems last year.Every summer there's yet another update to this app however the look and feel and functionality is identical.

7. I find myself having to completely disconnect and reconnect the AC unit first to my phone and then to my Wi-Fi all over again.

8. However, the app has severely slow loading times and frequently has issues connecting to the server, so I have been unable to use the app for the last week.

9. Ideally up-time/availability would be close to 100% but that may simply not be feasible for them.I want to like the app because of the convenience of being able to start my air conditioner on the drive home and arrive to a cool house.

10. Would be nice if it didn't need to go through their cloud when I'm literally on the same WiFi, but they need all of the tracking and user data they can obtain.

11. EDIT: I was able to add my husband's phone, but only after some trial and error.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix Frigidaire 2.0 Issues

1. Fix Frigidaire 2.0 Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart Frigidaire 2.0: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the Frigidaire 2.0 App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "Frigidaire 2.0" » Open Frigidaire 2.0 » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for Frigidaire 2.0 » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear Frigidaire 2.0 app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from Frigidaire 2.0 servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "Frigidaire 2.0" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check Frigidaire 2.0 app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Frigidaire 2.0 might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall Frigidaire 2.0. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall Frigidaire 2.0 then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing Frigidaire 2.0 not working

  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make Frigidaire 2.0 be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
