1. I think they need to integrate a remote so you can control your vacuum, and it would be nice to be able to change settings by just pausing the robot (ie.... suction power) instead of waiting until the cleaning cycle is complete.

2. This doesn't allow me to view 3d mapping, the cleaning log, access more settings or allow me to set smart cleaning settings.

3. Along with that, you lose your room divisions, no-go zones, schedules, etc.. Gets stuck on thresholds and thinks its anti-drop sensors are dusty, requires you to manually nudge and restart it (increases chance that it will lose the map).

4. I try to enter "smart cleaning" to edit settings and just hangs up there.I'm giving 4 stars because there are a few things about the app that I think could be improved.

5. The robot does a good job (T8) but the software needs work.So far I am enjoying the app however I can't give full stars because a lot of the features don't work.

6. It also doesn't notify me anymore when the "scheduled start time" is, so I have no way of verifying that it worked other than visual inspection.

7. I was able to get something that worked but over time it loses the map or adds sections that don't exist forcing you to delete the map and start over.

8. Bot looses map frequently which is frustrating to have to reenter the changes!The robot often experiences communication issues with the base station, which can cause the app to forget the map or distort it.

9. Other than those few things I think it is a 5 star app.It mostly does its thing like I set it up to do but occasionally my T8plus will not be able to load the map and start a new one.

10. Super annoying and time consuming because it then takes 90 minutes to detect a new environment and the virtual boundaries need to be set up all over again.

11. This can cause the robot to get stuck and shut down, requiring manual reset at the base station.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix ECOVACS HOME Issues

1. Fix ECOVACS HOME Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart ECOVACS HOME: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the ECOVACS HOME App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "ECOVACS HOME" » Open ECOVACS HOME » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for ECOVACS HOME » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear ECOVACS HOME app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from ECOVACS HOME servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "ECOVACS HOME" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check ECOVACS HOME app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, ECOVACS HOME might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall ECOVACS HOME. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall ECOVACS HOME then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing ECOVACS HOME not working


2. Fix ECOVACS HOME Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make ECOVACS HOME be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to ECOVACS HOME not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, ECOVACS HOME may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.

  • I have ecovacs ozmo slim 10 but since changing my wifi, it does not do what it did before. Can you delete my account? Cos it interferes with my wifi. Thanks
