Thank you.Recently moved from IOS to Android and the app is awful - would not use anything else for twitter on my iPhone and have used echofon for years but since switching to Android the app has gone down the pan! You can't keep searches anymore like I used to on IOS, I get notifications of completely random tweets, and the app keeps jumping to the most recent tweet rather than keeping my previous place.

2. Since then, the app fails to open and I get prompted that the app continues to crash... using Samsung Galaxy S20 Plus 5G (unlocked) on AT&T, Android version 11, Samsung One UI version 3.0. Please advise if there is anything I can provide in order to assist with getting a fix for this issue.

4. Thanks for the update!! Since the latest Samsung update, the app continuously crashes and freezes.

5. I keep trying to find one with an auto update widget but it seems to be beyond the realms of science fiction.

6. Very sad this isn't the same app as IOS :(Difficult to Upload pic very confused poor user interface design, If you want to upload pictures You have to select images from many folders.

7. When you check the details of that user to verify it shows that the user is muted, but the muted user is still displaying.Not very good at supporting multiple accounts.

8. Just goes straight to your timelineThe app is fine but the widget will not auto update.

9. If a tweet like a news article has a link it WON'T show the picture with the title of the article.

10. Update 4/01: Glad they FINALLY updated the app and fixed the bugs.

11. For example when you look at a tweet from a list and you click reply, it doesn't let you chose which account you want to tweet from.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix Echofon Issues

1. Fix Echofon Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart Echofon: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the Echofon App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "Echofon" » Open Echofon for Twitter » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for Echofon » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear Echofon for Twitter app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from Echofon servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "Echofon for Twitter" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check Echofon app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Echofon might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall Echofon. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall Echofon then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing Echofon not working


2. Fix Echofon Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make Echofon be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to Echofon not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, Echofon may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
