Trac Customer Insights

1. Only issue was when I got a new phone the restore from backed up database didn't work, but export as a .CSV file and then import into new phone didAs reported by others, this previously excellent app is now unsupported, and fails to back up or import files successfully.

2. I have also tried to key in a few entries and export it, but it does not generate a backup as a trac backup file nor in other formats (.csv). It also fails to generate a report.

3. I feel so davasted that my anaesthetic logbook cannot be retrieved and that I have made payment for a yearly subscription that is utterly useless.No assistance with current issue, emailed multiple times.

4. TRAC DOES NOT WORK WITH MY NEW PHONE - crashes and will not upload old data despite various formats attempted.

5. Am I going to be hit w a significant fee or lose all.my data ?????? No reply from app maker but after entering 25 cases you're charged a small fee per year.

6. I have a large backup file in dropbox, but the app fails to restore my backup file.

7. Real issue with smaller logbooks - its a massive deal if you can't get your info off easily or if its tied to a specific file type.

8. No complaints.is a great log but i can't seem to filter my cases or download the full logbook.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix Trac Issues

1. Fix Trac Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart Trac: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the Trac App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "Trac" » Open Trac: The Anaesthetic Logbook » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for Trac » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear Trac: The Anaesthetic Logbook app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from Trac servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "Trac: The Anaesthetic Logbook" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check Trac app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Trac might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall Trac. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall Trac then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing Trac not working


2. Fix Trac Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make Trac be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to Trac not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, Trac may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
