1. (But I think this is a system problem not an app problem) and (2) the ability to set up a call forwarding schedule so that the app switches this function on and off automatically would be HUGE and super helpful because sometimes I forget to do it and then calls get missed.Buggy and intrusive.

8. I called customer service and they said my account was "being built" and that all of the functions would be restored in a week.

9. The 'potential' for the app (and for the BVE system) is great - but almost completely unrealized and the phone, web, and app interfaces look and function like they were a class project at 'CodeFellows'.

10. Comcast called *me* after my service install, and I mentioned the missing features.

11. Update: it appears the app now works for my phone after the last update of the app.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix Comcast Business Issues

1. Fix Comcast Business Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart Comcast Business: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the Comcast Business App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "Comcast Business" » Open Comcast Business » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for Comcast Business » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear Comcast Business app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from Comcast Business servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "Comcast Business" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check Comcast Business app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Comcast Business might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall Comcast Business. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall Comcast Business then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing Comcast Business not working


2. Fix Comcast Business Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make Comcast Business be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to Comcast Business not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, Comcast Business may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
