CAVA Customer Insights

1. I can't even pull up my rewards barcode to scan at the restaurant ever since the last update.Wow, the new app has a (mostly) working back button, that's some serious progress! It is clear that they put a lot of effort into the design, but it ended up being just glitter and not very functional.

2. If at any point you use the back button, you'll likely be taken back to the home screen and will have to redo your order, including picking the restaurant location.

3. The whole app needs to be rebuilt from the ground up with a completely different design.The previous app design wasn't perfect, but it was mostly usable and fast.

4. I'm a very frequent CAVA customer, but this app actually gives me pause because I don't want to deal with it.Whoever did the app redesign should be fired.

5. Don't even bother with this app until they fix it or go back to the old version.I've tried to give the new version time to work out the kinks, but it's just a mess.

6. Also, I wish they would support GPay because it is a lot safer and gives more flexibility when it's time to pay for items.

7. I feel like I'm looking at emojis while ordering and it gives you no information, so if I click something I might not want, I'll have no idea.

8. I literally have to delete the app and reinstall, just to view by barcode ONE TIME, and after I close out the app, it won't let me go past the "Cava" page.

9. Super strong vibrations, not tied to what items have been added (or are they? Hard to tell).

10. It tries to make you reorder from the same previous location instead of allowing you to choose the same food at a different location.

11. The picture design makes it hard to tell at a glance what you've added (what's wrong with words?).

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix CAVA Issues

1. Fix CAVA Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart CAVA: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the CAVA App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "CAVA" » Open CAVA » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for CAVA » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear CAVA app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from CAVA servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "CAVA" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check CAVA app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, CAVA might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall CAVA. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall CAVA then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing CAVA not working


2. Fix CAVA Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make CAVA be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to CAVA not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, CAVA may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
